The Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) represents Canada’s transmission pipeline companies who operate more than 125,000 kilometres of pipeline in Canada and the United States. These energy highways move approximately 1.2 billion barrels of liquid petroleum products and 5.5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas each year. Our members transport 97 per cent of Canada’s daily crude oil and natural gas from producing regions to markets throughout North America.
CEPA’s mission is to ensure a strong and viable transmission pipeline industry in Canada in a manner that emphasizes public safety and pipeline integrity, social and environmental stewardship, and cost competitiveness.
Provide for the safe and environmentally sound operation of our pipelines.
Ensure access to land in a timely manner, at fair-market rates, and with enduring stakeholder relationships.
Policy and Regulation
Ensure that regulatory and policy regimes are efficient and properly resourced in order that they provide clarity, certainty and predictability.
Government Relations and Communications
Create a culture of understanding among key audiences and communicate openly and honestly about pipeline safety and our industry practices and performance.
Make Canadian companies and projects a preferred destination for foreign and domestic capital investment, thus increasing shareholder and customer value.
